The facility is historical and is the longest-running venue in the yearly calendar, and the track that Ricky Carmichael and crew have come up with will be a challenge riders have to deal with every single lap.

Saturday night's race will be the halfway point in the 17-race tour, and since so many believe the phrase "the championship starts at Daytona," we can expect close racing throughout the field.
