AJ Allmendinger is currently in his prime as a NASCAR Xfinity Series regular driver. He is also currently one of the most popular driver in NASCAR! Before he even climbed inside of a Stock Car, AJ was in the Champ Car Series! AJ made a move to NASCAR nearly at the 2006 NASCAR season after competing and ending his race at Surfers Paradise. AJ was bouncing in various race teams in NASCAR. While racing for Roger Penske's no. 22 Cup car, his time racing for Penske's Cup team ended hours before the 2012 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona after failing a random drug test. After completing the NASCAR Road to Recovery, AJ finished his season with Phoenix Racing's no. 51 Cup car. 2013 was a busy year for The Dinger. Not only he did some NASCAR Natiowide and Cup races, AJ came back to Team Penske, but he also returned to IndyCar for the first time in 2006. In this episode, Ben Schneider and I will be talking about AJ Allmendinger's return to the IZOD IndyCar Series in the 2013 season!
