M140i Differential Install with M4 Lower Control Arms [Unlock Hidden Grip]
Описание
Do you want more traction and grip from your M140i? Unlock the hidden traction and grip with the Wavetrac LSD and M4 Lower Control Arm Upgrade.
From the factory, the performance of the M140i is severely limited by the open differential. When horsepower and torque is increased with software and bolt-ons this problem is exacerbated and totally kills the driving experience, especially in low-grip conditions. Once there is wheel slip, the open differential sends power to this wheel, the wheel with the least grip. Behind the wheel, this makes the rear-end feel unstable and slows acceleration and more often than not the answer is to come off the throttle or let the traction control system abruptly kick in.
Whereas the Wavetrac LSD smoothly and evenly biases power to the wheel with the most traction. Behind the steering wheel, this feels like an immense improvement in rear-end grip, with much less traction control intervention and much less wheel spin, allowing you to use more of the throttle in all conditions. It does this thanks to its advanced Automatic Torque Biasing helical and pinion design, which goes one step further in the pursuit of performance, driveability and longevity verses conventional ATB designs.
Old-style designs like the Quaife and others have a flaw where they perform like an open differential. They do this when axle load is substantially reduced or lost which happens when there is wheel slip, suspension unloading (heavy cornering, crests etc.) and wheel lift (on track). Whereas the Wavetrac, with its advanced patented design, creates internal load in these situations, allowing power to continue to be biased. Giving you more performance, more of the time!
Finally, the customer opted for the M4 Lower Control Arms to be installed or 'LCA' for short. These arms add additional, non-adjustable negative camber. Negative camber puts more of the tyre contact patch in contact with the tarmac when cornering, delivering an incredible feeling behind the steering wheel of a substantial increase in front-end feeling and a new limit of grip.
