Formula One’s first trip to Imola since 2006, its third slice of La Dolce Vita this year, was a short visit - held over just two days, and without any fans, an 11th hour about-face due to local COVID-19 restrictions.

…but there was plenty to celebrate, especially at Mercedes, where Lewis Hamilton used brilliant strategy for win number 93. A long 30-lap first stint, and quick stop under the virtual safety car, catapulting him past teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen - who he’d dropped behind into the first chicane, Tamburello, on lap one.
