Much to the surprise of many outsiders NASCAR is a quite open sport to anybody who wants to compete. So yesterday (as of the release of this video) when driver Devon Rouse announced that he would be the first openly LGBTQ driver in NASCAR he was met by an overwhelming amount of positivity. This is both a huge moment for Rouse but also a huge moment for NASCAR itself. This is the moment that NASCAR’s first openly LGBTQ driver has arrived.
