World-first sustainable alternative to carbon-fibre revealed for motorsport crash structures

-YCOM has developed and manufactured the first natural fibre crash box for motorsport, a Front Impact Absorbing Structure (FIAS), together with Bcomp Ltd and using ampliTex™ reinforcements.
- Initial crash tests show excellent results and desired crash behaviour
- The test proves the concept and opens the door for structural applications of natural fibres in motorsports
