Today we are going over a new report that Microsoft is apparently interested in trying to acquire WB Games. It was already a big deal when we learned that WB Games was going up for sale and game publishers like EA, Activision, and Take Two were interested, but it's an even bigger deal if Microsoft is interested since they are a platform holder. The deal is for anywhere between 2-4 billion dollars and if it went through it mean Microsoft would acquire all of WB's game studios such as Rocksteady, Monolith, and Neatherrealm. They would not aquire any of WB's IP though such as Batman but they would be able to license it and make games using it. So if Microsoft wanted to they could make future Batman, Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, games and many more Xbox exclusive. So what exactly would this mean for Sony and the PS5, is there a chance Sony would consider trying to acquire WB games now they know Microsoft is? This would be a huge win for Xbox and the Xbox Series X if it were to happen.
